Consider hiring a
licensed appraiser to evaluate your property with a
clear delineation between land and buildings.  Check the telephone
book for listings.

Provide photos of each structure on your property.

Write an explanation of why you want a reduction including noting any
errors in the description of your buildings, improvements or land.

If you are disputing your land valuation, attach a page that computes
your land using the appropriate
land rate table from Portville, NY and
include the pages of those land rate tables you used with your RP-524
form.

Sign the RP-524 Form.  Without a signed RP-524 Form, the Board of
Assessment Review cannot consider your RP-524 Form as being
valid
.

Mail your completed package on or before May 15, 2009 via United
States Postal Service using First Class or Priority Mail with "delivery
confirmation" to:

Mail a second copy of your completed package on or before May 15,
2009 via United States Postal Service using First Class or Priority Mail

You may turn in your RP-524 Form and completed package on
Grievance Day May 26, 2009 when the Board of Assessment Review is
in session at the Town of Cuba Administrative Building located at 5
Bull Street, Cuba, NY 14727.

If you can be at the Grievance Day hearing on May 26, 2009, it is often
best for the Board of Assessment Review to be able to address you
should there be questions.  However, you attendance at the meeting is
initially optional because if there is a question, they will contact you.
